Join us at the Packaging Innovations Show 25-26 Feb at the NEC

Royston Labels are exhibiting on stand C46 at the Packaging Innovations Show on 25-26 Feb at the NEC.

We will be displaying samples of our label products, as well as providing visitors to our stand with an insight into labelling trends and innovations. We are also delighted to let you know that our soft touch labels for gentleman's grooming brand, Murdock London, have been selected to feature in the show's Innovation Gallery; the Gallery is located by the entrance to the hall.

A show that has grown in prominence over the years, Packaging Innovations, now in its 10th year, is dedicated to bringing the UK packaging industry together to demonstrate new innovations, inspire developments and discover the latest technologies.

This is the one UK event where you can be certain to find the latest innovations in packaging to support your business objectives - that’s why you’ll find us there!

We look forward to welcoming you to our stand - our location is as shown on the floorplan below.

Food Labelling

It seems that no sooner than the new EU food labelling rules came into force last December , then the Shadow Health Secretary, Andy Burnham, has suggested that a future Labour Government would aim to simplify food packaging on the grounds of over complexity.

Commenting on the rumours from certain political circles and putting the current situation regarding food labelling into perspective, Phil Dalton, head of regulatory, legal, at Sun Branding Solutions, has recently given his take on developments for Packaging News. Read his comments here.

Royston Labels will be monitoring the situation pre and post-election and will update you on any food labelling news through our website and social media channels.

In the meantime, if you wish to discuss any aspect of food labelling, please call us on 01763 212020.

Environmentally talking…our stance in a nutshell

Royston Labels is committed to becoming greener as a company and aiming to reduce the impact on the environment through the use of materials and processes that reduce the risk of pollution.

As a business, we comply with all relevant legislation and base our operation on sound environmental policies.

Royston Labels seek to continually develop environmental solutions. These manifest as:
  • Reducing manufacturing waste
  • Implementing greener, more efficient working practices
  • Searching for more environmentally friendly products and printing techniques
  • Including recycled, recyclable, biodegradable and thinner materials within our portfolio
  • Working closely with suppliers who can demonstrate their commitment to the environment

…and a word or two on PET

PET is a popular plastic package for food and non-food products because of its strength, thermo-stability and transparency. With world population growth, natural resources have come to a limit. This urges companies to look for more sustainable source of PET material.

At Royston Labels, we can offer both clear and opaque label materials that are 100% recyclable, and actually allow the old packaging to be re-manufactured into new bottles. This type of up-cycling promotes sustainability which is recognised throughout the supply chain - from brand owners & packaging designers to raw material suppliers, converters, & consumers.

Sustainability is key and for many brands can offer a significant point of differentiation. Retailers and consumers are both influenced by environmental factors, and more sustainable brands are becoming increasingly more popular.

The films we offer are very thin, and deliver the same quality and clarity as alternative label materials. These labels can be printed and decorated in just the same way as other material choices, so they’re an easy way to make PET packaging recyclable and safely reusable.
